TechPK has already talked about Microsoft’s upcoming Build conference, which is all about AI innovation and Copilot. It’s starting next week, and there are some interesting sessions we’re excited about.
One of the sessions we noticed is called “Using AI for Real-Life Stuff in Your Windows Apps” on the official sessions page. It’s aimed at developers and will feature demos showing how to use AI for practical purposes in Windows apps.
So far, we’ve only seen Copilot as a web service that gives search results and makes images. Microsoft tried adding some automation with Copilot actions, but it didn’t always work well. We haven’t seen any apps on the Microsoft Store that use AI to make the user experience better.

The session description doesn’t reveal too much, but it talks about using AI to solve real-life problems in real apps, while also considering things like privacy, performance, and responsible AI.
So, developers will learn how to use the power of an NPU (a special chip for handling AI tasks) found in the latest processors to make their apps faster and add more features. This can help users go through their data quicker and get personalized suggestions.
For example, think about a finance app that looks at your spending and income habits and finds related transactions.
Microsoft also plans to bring AI into some parts of Windows 11, like a feature called “AI-Explorer/Recall”.
Recall AI will be a game changer
Our previous article on the Recall AI feature talked about how it works in Windows. Basically, it lets you search for everything you’ve done in the past and even records your screen. Then, it can understand what you’re looking for and find it for you.
Remembering past actions can be tough, especially when you can’t recall where you saved a file or who you sent it to. But with Recall AI, you just need to describe what you’re looking for in detail.
Unfortunately, this feature won’t be available until the next big update, known as 24H2, for Windows 11. It will only be on Snapdragon X Elite notebooks that are coming out later this year, meaning most Windows 11 users won’t get to use it.
